Spelling Bingo

How to play Spelling Bingo.

Write your child's spelling words onto card or paper and cutout. We had about 30 words as you need some not listed on the grids. 

Cut a sheet of A4 paper in half then draw a grid on each half with 9 squares. 

Write 9 spelling words on one grid. 

Write 9 different spelling words on the other grid.

We are a family of 3 and mum was bingo caller, with dad and son playing with a spelling bingo grid each. 

The caller picks a word off the pile and reads it out. 

If the word is on your grid, use a dabber or felt tip to cross it off. (We just looked for the word as it was the first time we played, another time you could spell the word out without looking and if correct you can cross it off the grid.) 

First one to cross all the words out, shouts bingo! We had great fun and took it in turn to be bingo caller.

Egg Carton Animal Picture

Inspired by Nylah Khan on instagram we have made an egg carton animal picture. What you need. Egg carton Sharpie pens or paints Glue Cardboard What to do. Decide on animal to make - we chose an elephant.  Cut a square of cardboard. Cut up the egg carton. Colour or paint animal details onto the egg carton parts. Glue egg carton parts to the cardboard. Draw body of animal. Draw a border on the cardboard and colour it in.

Making Painted Paper

We had some bits of paint left over after we painted our wooden birdbox. We decided to make some painted paper.  Paint sheets of paper using the left over paint.  Once the painted paper is dry you can save the coloured paper and use it for other art projects and card making. We always make our own cards do we can cut out numbers, letters or objects to make personalised cards.
